What-If's

What-If's
I'm not looking at the "what-if" he would have stayed? or "what-if" things would have been fine?

I'm looking at the "what-if" I would have followed the signs he left? "What-if" I would have just listened to the people who actually love me?

Never know.

Stars
I lit a fire with the love you left behind
And it burned wild and crept up the mountain side
I followed your ashes into outer space
I can't look out the window, I can't look at this place.
I can't look at the stars
They make me wonder where you are
Stars, up on heaven's boulevard
And if I know you at all, I know you've gone too far
So I, I can't look at the stars.
All those times we looked up at the sky
Looking out so far, it felt like we could fly

And now I'm all alone in the dark of night
And the moon is shining, but I can't see the light.
And I can't look at the stars
They make me wonder where you are
Stars, up on heaven's boulevard
And if I know you at all, I know you've gone too far
So I, I can't look at the stars.
Stars
Stars, they make me wonder where you are
Stars, up on heaven's boulevard
And if I know you at all, I know you've gone too far
So I can't look at the stars.

Going on without you...

“So many people enter and leave your life! Hundreds of thousands of people! You have to keep the door open so they can come in! But it also means you have to let them go!”

Riding the Night Train

Riding the Night Train
I think Ill take the Night Train. It doesnt turn into morning until Ive fixed today's problems and I dont get anywhere significant until I let things go.

Who here misses someone you cant see anymore because they have left this Earth? Who here has things, important things to say to them? Who here just needs a hug from them? Who here has loved, loved so deep, for so long without their love being returned? Who has had a million things to say to someone, yet they dont understand?! You can shake them and its like they dont hear you!! Has anyone just wanted to be loved by that one person...and yet your questioned about who they really are?!! Has anyone just felt alone...like alone was all that was left?! And has anyone been so busy to ignore all of this?

But why must we feel like this? Day in and day out for those of us who carry our past. Its not intentional...its just us. The past also effects our present...and everytime we run into a new problem we carry it. We feel the need to fix ourselves..because we are fixers..and what we cant fix its sits within us...like your favorite broken coffee mug...cant throw it away..but you cant fix it either because its shattered. Why then must we keep it? Because we loved it...and love isnt easily thrown away.
